The Qitup app began with Dennis and John having a love for BBQ and wanting to share their creations with each other. Having friends and family that love BBQ as much, Dennis and John found themselves sending their BBQ pics in several different group chats. The conversations were always in-depth to include recipes, temperatures, times, meat cuts, and all things BBQ. One summer day at a pool party, over some whiskey and BBQ, Dennis and John were showing each other their BBQ pictures from their phones. It was at that moment they both thought, “You know what, there should be an app for this” and the idea for Qitup was born. We hope you enjoy the app and sharing what BBQ lovers do best…create real BBQ with pride and passion.

John has a passion for food and BBQ. Whether it's planning a dinner that is weeks away, or just sharing pictures of something made last night, John loves to talk about it. Living in Idaho, he hopes to spread the love of BBQ to everyone.... Everywhere! Look for John and his Wife Lindsay sporting the Qitup brand!

Gail

Gail is Dennis’s wife who regularly tends the grill with him. She also has a love for cooking and grilling, so much so, that she was an area finalist for the hit TV show, Master Chef. She can be found with Dennis judging BBQ competitions around Central Texas. She also keeps track of the financials and administrative functions for the app.
